Individual memberships are available to those actively involved in astronomy or a related branch of science. Corporations and other entities desirous of encouraging the work of the Society should join as a Corporate Member.
The AAS is reaching out to its emeritus members and those who have belonged to the Society for at least 40 years to recognize them for their long-term support and to explore how better to serve this group.
Persons who have rendered conspicuous service to astronomy other than through scientific contributions.
Renewing recent memberships is easy and may be accomplished online. The procedure for reinstating past membership depends on the time that has elapsed, see page for details.
