SPICE Community Workshop
David Leisawitz NASA GSFC
The Space Interferometer for Cosmic Evolution (SPICE), a NASA Far-Infrared Probe mission concept, is designed to have JWST-like resolution at much longer wavelengths (25 - 400 mm), with better sensitivity than that of the Herschel Space Observatory. The bulk of the observing time will consist of a proposal-driven general observers program.
On Wednesday, 14 September 2022, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm US ET, we will hold a virtual community workshop to introduce the concept, describe team science goals (galaxy evolution, planet formation and architectures, giant exoplanet atmospheres), and hear from the community about its science goals.
