HEAD 20 Meeting
Abstracts & Proposals
Abstracts
Every presentation at HEAD meetings is accompanied by an abstract no more than 2,250 characters long that describes the research being presented. Meeting attendees wishing to present — whether via a talk or a poster — must submit a proposed abstract by the set abstract deadlines.

Special Sessions
HEAD members may propose Special Sessions to discuss scientific topics of interest to the HEAD community. Sessions are 90 minutes and usually include 3-6 talks, and they may feature topical talks by multiple speakers, or a panel discussion, or other presentation formats.

Splinter Meetings
Splinter Meetings are science or programmatic meetings that may be scheduled by organizations or groups usually in parallel to scheduled HEAD sessions. These will usually require separate meeting space and may require A/V support, and/or catering.
